The average age for a cell phone is between the ages of twelve and thirteen, but it really does vary based on parental preference and the maturity of the child, it should also depend on need. If your child doesn’t spend a considerable amount of time away from you then there might not be a need for them to have a cell phone, their friends having one isn’t a reason. You also want to make sure that they are responsible enough for a phone.
