Previously I wrote about great holiday destinations in Singapore. However, as the world continues to adapt to the pandemic, it’s time to consider new holiday destinations. There are undoubtedly numerous considerations for choosing your ideal holiday getaways, such as the time of year, the attractions, and personal preferences. Here’s what I would consider the top 6 best holiday destinations.
Tokyo

Tokyo is a beautiful place for any tourist, featuring a unique blend of nature, culture, and technological progress. Its city is a bustling metropolis that coaxes you in, with something for everyone in your family. Whether you’re a history buff or a techie, taking a holiday to Tokyo will immerse you in the vibrance and wonder of Japanese living. If you’re lucky enough to visit during cherry blossom season, take a trip to the urban parks to witness the magnificent flowers in full bloom. Make sure you don’t miss out on the monuments and historical sites while you’re there.
London

London’s iconic skyline blends together its storied past and bright future. From the London Eye to Big Ben, the city is full of glorious landmarks that chart its history. Exhibits in the Tower of London and the city’s museums showcase a rich tapestry of historical and cultural exhibits. Meanwhile, Shakespeare’s Globe stands as a modern recreation of the playwright’s theatre, where plays are still performed to this day. Its urban amenities also provide everything you need on your trip at a moment’s notice, so you’ll be both comfortable and enthralled for the duration of your holiday.
Phuket

If you’re looking to travel on a tighter budget, look no further than Phuket. As an ideal holiday destination for many in the Southeast Asian region and beyond, Phuket boasts tropical skies, cheap amenities, and glorious beaches for tourists to bask in. Give yourself a treat at one of the local spas, take a ride on a boat tour, or simply indulge in good old-fashioned retail therapy. Look forward to entertainment 24/7 as Phuket’s bustling nightlife pulls you in for a good time.
New York City

Few places can be as quintessentially American as the Big Apple itself. The stuff of many movies and shows, New York City continues to be the iconic American city it is touted to be. Catch magical performances at Broadway or trawl the city streets in search of a bite to eat. Marvel in Times Square’s awe-inspiring displays, surrounded by the sights and sounds of a city that never sleeps. The urban paradise is host to a fantastic food scene, bustling nightlife, and unique landmarks that will make your holiday a spectacle to behold.
Dubai

Home to the world’s tallest building, the Burj al-Khalifa, Dubai is quite literally an oasis in the desert. An urban paradise lies between the dunes and the sandy beaches, featuring extensive shopping malls and marketplaces alongside one of the world’s largest man-made marinas. Dubai manages to preserve its history and heritage despite constant construction and expansion efforts that put both on display. Its rich traditions and ever-advancing society make it a perfect holiday destination.
Singapore

The tiny city-state is home to a unique blend of urban sprawl infused with culture and technology. Singapore boasts a thriving cityscape welcoming to locals and tourists alike, with attractions designed very every kind of traveler. Its airport is a world-class facility and shopping centre merged in perfect unison. Its skyline boasts the world’s largest Ferris Wheel, complemented by the iconic designs of Marina Bay Sands and Gardens by the Bay. Yet outside the city are where the treasures of Singapore can be found. Spend some time walking down Singapore’s streets searching for unique, delicious food and wonderful people to meet.
