There are many different mistakes that parents make when their children enter their teenage years. Parents tend to expect the worst because they are over-protective of their children, and they have to learn to trust them. Parents also may read too many parenting books without understanding that every teenager is different. • Don’t sweat the small stuff as that will just lead to unneeded stress for both your and your children.
  • Don’t ignore the big stuff because those are things where you have to take over and get involved to protect your child.
